I know I played this one gross
Notes: Sb is a good aggro reg. Co is a 36/0 fish
Flop: I didn't want to just overshove here, so I decided to flat and get it in on any brick turn (which in retrospect I think is gross but that was my logic at the time) and evaluate any turn that hit. In retrospect I think raising to 400/getting it in is the best play. If you think just jamming the flop is better please include rationale.
Turn: I can't tell if the ace is a brick for my opponents. If I ck I'm pretty sure the fish is gonna bet. As played what do you do here.
River: FML Now what????

hey Savant
4 ways in a limped pot with top pair weak kicker on a wet board… urgh. i Hate these spots and try to avoid them at all costs. If i do raise the flop im not happy at all about getting it in hoping the villain has a draw with less equity than my hand (which wont be very often). I like the call on the flop, it isn't the best spot to play for stacks.
I Like the turn bet since he doesnt rate to have many aces in his range here, and those that are in his range just made two pair or top pair & nut flush draw and will probably raise allowing you to fold. he's likely still on some sort of a pair & straight or flush draw combo.
River card sucks, he now has a lot of 2pair and straights in his range. Check/fold probably. Allthough check/calling is an option if you have any read on his bet size or previous play.
hope that helps, dont think you played it bad at all. I think you need to be cautious in these spots on the flop. Your not crushing many hands that are willing to get it in with you there.
I think you have to raise the flop. This board is so wet that i seriously doubt your equity in this hand will be any higher than it is at this point. Allow everyone to come along for cheap is just going to force you to fold later. Just about every turn/river sucks. And think about the guy who led into the pot…what are you going to do when he leads turn. I'd rather fold than just call here.
If you get reraised just fold. If you get called, proceed with caution.
But as is, you are ahead enough here to take it down now.
I agree with RFB you should be raising the flop or folding most likely your equity will only get worse with most turn and rivers and you have to take into consideration your playing the pot OOP…me personally I like to make the other players have to make the decision instead of me so raise get your info and proceed with caution!

From beginning to end, I would have raised the flop and check/fold after the
flop, I am not happy with 9s and a Jack kicker and your straight draw is
not worth chasing.
In your situation now, I would check the river, you made an attempt at the ace on the turn but your villian did not budge-which probably means he has an ace or better. If he bets on the river I am laying it down.
"Your either in Sheen's Korner or your with the trolls."
I agree with RFB and Praetor. Pretty ugly flop even though we have top pair. I'd raise and prob chk/fold to any furthur action unless our hand improves. I'm thinking villian probably has a pretty good hand like Praetor said when he calls your bet on turn. I'd just go ahead and check/fold the river here.
G0liath: Tks for feedback. I posted the hand on 2p2 also and got some suggestions to keep the pot small as well. I think the “raise the flop camp” is right though for the reasons stated. Also it's a turbo and my 40bb stack will be 24bb in about 7 minutes, so no time like the present.
Bronco: OOP is a good point
RFB/Praetors/Cougars: How much should our raise size be? I want to make it like 410 so I don't give a give a good price to draw to the fish behind me and the strong aggressive player in front of me. I think if I make it 300 I'm asking them to call and as we said there are so many bad turn cards that can land.
Also, Everyone said to shut down if I get played back at. Considering this is a turbo I feel like I should def be calling to a 3 bet shove considering all of the draws out there and I've committed 25% of my stack? Is my logic off?
Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated!
