Thanks for the post.  His big raise seems like some kind of overpair, possibly 88 or 99 w a gutter. or a higher pair more likely imo.  You are probably beaten, w 10-13 outs (4,9,6,7).  I don't think he is bluffing here with his whole stack, but if you have a read that makes you think that he is bluffing  a lot (you called him a fish), then it might be a decent spot to gamble.  Without that read, I don't think I want to get my whole stack in here, but I think I am on the tight side.  Certainly, if you win, you have a great shot at winning the tourney.  Hopefully one of the pros or someone who is better at explaining the math involved will weigh in on this interesting spot.  mwb

I would like to know also whether the lead bet is good, or I should have c/r…and yes  it would be interesting to hear one of the pros…

My read was an overpair

i prolly check-shove, this board hits your range nicely and an overpair wont like stacking off here.

I might just fold PF here. 76o is not a really great starting hand. With all this action PF ANC with the starting stack you have I might wait for a better spot to get my money in. I know you flopped what looks like a monster, you could easily be drawing stone dead with a higher straight draw or something worse.

i might be reading it wrong, but it wasnt a big raise, it was a min raise and 2 callers.

so 5k more to call into 42k, plus significant implied odds, i think its completely fine to call.

If your read is an overpair. It is neutral cEV to come allin against him on the flop. You have to pay 153K (43%) to win  352K. And if he is a fish, he is never going to lay down an overpair. (this is before your bet on the flop)

Board: 6d 8h 5c

Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied

Hand 0: 43.081% 42.12% 00.96% 15012 342.00 { 7c6s }

Hand 1: 56.919% 55.96% 00.96% 19944 342.00 { 99+ }

However I dont think you kan only put him on overpairs. If you put a little more in to his range, it is +cEV.

Board: 6d 8h 5c

Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied

Hand 0: 62.666% 61.58% 01.08% 46336 814.00 { 7c6s }

Hand 1: 37.334% 36.25% 01.08% 27276 814.00 { 99+, AJs+, KQs, AQo+ }

As you bet the flop an he raise. You have to pay 135K (38%) and it is now a +cEV spot to push, even if is range only is overpairs. But I not sure that your line is a +$EV.

I would C/C flop and C/F turn if we dont hit.
