Sorry to post a lot of topics but im gettin into these spots and i dont know what to do which is why i am posting for feedback.

Small rebuy tournament pokerstars blinds 350/700 i have 31,000, middle position limper the button who has 38000 raises to 2.1 k , i have 1010 in small blind i could flat call here but button maybe isolating limper and my hand maybe best , button raiser isnt playing loose but not real nitty, i three bet to 4.8k limper folds button min four bets , what do i make of this? Is he semi bluffing in position with worse than 1010 does he have monster? I really felt like clicking it back at him and just shoving my 40bb + stack but i didnt i called 4 bet and folded on qj8 flop, i really think sometimes players aree taking advantage of me cause i play tight and four betting me light, i felt  bad after  hand thought i should 5 bet jam but i dont know.

do you have any hand histories that you can post since you fall into this situation a lot..

there could be subtle nunces that are affecting the decision.

The min raise looks like a pretty strong line from the villain unless he has been 4 betting a decent % of the time which would be unusual. I don’t see a min raise 4 bet with AK as I’d expect him to flat or raise bigger. so his 4 bet suggests to me you are behind his range. If the table has seen you 3 bet give up once or twice and villain is an aggressive player then you could give him credit for a wider range.

In this situation i tend to just flat the initial raise, i dont really feel comfortable 3b/getting it in here with TT when we are this deep (leak?) and im not a fan of playing a bloated pot OOP if villain just flats. When villain min 4bets i expect his range to be fairly strong, you say that you're perceived as a tight player and you fear people with light 4 bet you? I think thats a reason for people to NOT 4bet you light IMO, so i like a fold now since were not getting the right odds to setmine (right?) and there's going to be too many flops we don't like that villain will cbet (like the flop you got)

p.s – take my advice with a grain of salt, there are far better players on this forum that will dissect my advice and hopefully turn me into a better player in the process too smile

If you don't use a HUD while playing I recommend starting.

I don't think there is sufficient information here for anyone to give a reply based off anything but totally readless table dynamics.

In that case you should be calling pre if you do not know how you will react to being 4 bet. Without reads, TT does fairly awful vs the get it in range of a 40 bb stack and his click it back seems pretty nutted and inducing without any information on this player.

TT is hard to play OOP because of how often an overcard or 2 will flop and you will be floated lots. I think calling pre is best.

As played after you 3-bet and he min clicks it back, it could be better to min 5-bet as it will give you all the info you need, if he raises you then you are deffo behind, or he folds. It will make you get into a less sticky situation on the flop oop.

Say when you called his 4-bet and the flop comes 226r and he bets, well you cant really fold now, then the turn comes 7 and the villian barrels 75% of pot….now if you 5-bet pre most of the time the villian will either shove or fold and you saved yourself from a very awkward spot.

The thing ive learned recently is when your oop you should tend be a bit more aggressive and try take the lead in the hand instead of check calling cause you will only cause yourself to get in tough situations

Hope this helps & GL cool
