So I'm playin this local casino tournie I play every Thursday. Play is really bad in general, but we're deep enough in the tournie that the table is down to regs I know pretty well.
3b's don't happen often after an open and if they do it's all the hands you think it would be QQ-AA and some combos of AK.
Villain is a nittier player but he plays pretty well.
So we're down to roughly 30 left of the starting 99. This tournie gets shallow relatively quick and has no antes. Avg stack was about 17k.
Blinds 500/1000 (But about to go to 6/1200) 20 min levels prob doesn't matter.
8 players at the table.
UTG folds
(25k)Hero UTG+1 raises to 2300 (A10)
MP folds
(120k) Villain calls 2300
CO calls 2300
BTN folds
SB folds
BB calls 2300
Flop (9,700)
A Q 10
BB checks, Hero bets 5400.. ( Villain thinking about 7 seconds, now asks how much I'm playing, I show him my stack and tell him I started the hand w 25k, he takes about another 10 seconds and shoves all in.)
Folds back to Hero..???
So I think he has obv all hands w K in them. AxK, KQx, maybe some KJ's… Only flush he could have would be
89… Seems unlikely. He's never jamming the nuts but obv doesn't even have any nut hands in his range. Except a royal which OBV isn't jamming. So pot is 20.5k… Hero has 18k behind.
So… Should I be checking this flop? x/c and jam non spade turns? If anyone behind calls I don't even think it's neccessarily that bad for me.
Thanks in advance guys!

If V is a nit like what you say, I think it is wise to put him on hands like KQ/AK with a spade, or even JJ with Js. From your reads, I am not sure if he could have 99 or 88 and do this with a spade, but if I were him, I will put pressure on your stack since you have only 20k to my 120k.
As played, I think you are slightly ahead here even if he has straight and flush draws. I will shove here as I have outs against his flush if he makes them.

I'd make it bigger on the flop (i dont hate your sizing though) , have to call when v shove here. There's so many hands we beat which does have good equity vs our hand. Those include AJ/QJ/KQ with a spade maybe QT , though he's probably more likely to fold that pre i also doubt AK is in their range, they probably would of 3-bet that pre flop same goes with AA/QQ , not many combo's of TT either.. If v has a hand like KJ then thats just a cooler. I guess AQ could be in their range but given that flop texture i reckon there's quite a few hands which your ahead of or that your flipping with.
