This is the same 45 man as the prior post with AQs from the blinds facing a butt raise with 8 left.

I think a couple of these guys are calling pretty wide to a shove here. I know that some are not adjusting to this structure with no antes. Calling and shoving has been on the wide side.

FullTiltPoker Game #23182807051: $10 + $1 Sit & Go (179152165), Table 4 – 400/800 – No Limit Hold'em – 15:13:32 ET – 2010/08/18

Seat 4: mm209 (9,075)
Seat 5: pethen (14,578)
Seat 7: defjux41 (12,693)
DaPraCa posts the small blind of 400
laranjinha99 posts the big blind of 800
The button is in seat #1

Dealt to mm209 [3h 3c]

BTW – This batch of Full Tilt hh's are just not working in the converter. Anyone know why?

33 UTG is not a hand I would want to shove with here. You are the short stack but you haven't fallen below ten blinds yet.  I would be inclined to let this one go and see if a better hand comes along in the next orbit or two if you are intent on shoving. If these guys are calling wide as you mentioned the chance that one of them hits a better pair then you on the flop increases if they are loose.

pretty standard shove here. nearing ten bbs and the blinds running thru you in the next 3 hands its 100% optimal time to shove and take a shot at winning and or not letting your stack wither. the other stacks at the table must have a hand to call you.

ttwist –  no antes, no difference?

I did fold here.

I def call vs better players and with antes. I just thought vs these pretty weak players I still have a little time.

Anyone even considering folding should not play these games really. If you want to fold here you have missed a fundemental aspect of these turbo SNGs.

Antes make a huge difference, yes, but the fact that you are 5 handed (which makes UTG Hijack) and have 10bbs makes this an easy shove.

I didn't run this game thru SitNGo Wizard until now. Wiz says fold and suggests an incredibly tight range to shove: TT+, AK, AQs+.  What's up with that?

And this is using the program's default opponent range as average which it was not with a couple of the players.

Could there be that much of a difference in chip ev and ICM ev?

YOu're shoving through a lot of people with threes. Only one combination of Ax is not flipping with you. Only one PP is behind you. I think your fold is fine. I would rather shove with a TJs.

The biggest questions I have is your image as perceived by the others. If you look even the slightest bit wild…then it's a great fold. If you look very tight, then maybe a shove. But then you get into the dynamic of the others and whether they understand what is going on as far as widening their calling range this late. Finally, are the players behind the least bit inclined to call with any Ax? Suited broadway? If so, it just diminishes you hand value both in absolute value as well as FE.

The prob with wiz is the calling ranges it applies to your opponents, I agree with ttwist that they will need a decent hand to call so you should tighten up the default ranges that wiz applies and see what comes up. No matter what wiz says I'm shoving in this spot looking to win it and not wither away in 5th.

With the help of someone with more experience in analyzing spots like this, we ran the numbers thru an icm spreadsheet that factors more end game variables than Wiz.

While their shoving range wasn't as tight as Wiz's, it was just a hair below.
