Hope I'm posting in the right section of the forum,

I'm new to MTT's and have been playing 180's on stars, but I want to play some bigger tourneys, however when I'm looking for tourneys to play I find myself trawling thu' the lobbys of the sites I have accounts on (Stars, Ongame, ipoker, Merge) there are so many and I'm not sure where to start, can anyone recommend some good regular tournies to play on the above sites with buy ins upto maybe $6??

thanks tpe.  smile

well in the US I can only play on the merge sites but there are a number of tournys within that range..and while I haven't had much luck yet on these sites the tournys are super soft.  One of my fav tournys on stars is the 2.2 1r 1a runs at night I believe you can reg 55 min late rebuy and then add on for an extra 6k chips and have like 100 bigs and skip half the bs in big fields very  nice money at the FT last two times I played it before BF i got 15th and 11th. Good luck at the  tables

On the Merge netwrok they have a lot of bounty tournaments that are pretty in that buyin range and the sats. are super soft. Merge has there Poker Maximus series on right now, I have sattied into most the high buyins first try-perfect for your buyin level.

what are you looking for? large field tourneys or smaller field ones?

obviously anything on stars is going to be your best bet for large field tourneys.

in terms of smaller fields, 888 and party have some ok tourneys

if you are on stars, make sure you use the lobby filter otherwise it looks like a MESS

I'm looking for tournies that run fairly regular, I played one last night for instance on stars that had a capped field of 1000, that seems ideal.

In terms of field sizes what do you class as small field? under 1000? under 5000? I played the bigger 4.40 12k runners and I've played sunday storm 35k runners, is 12k field a small field? lol forgive me I'm such a noob  embarassed

I will download 888 and have a look at the tournies there cos I've heard they are quite soft.

sorry, small field i would class as <500, and a lot of the tourneys on 888 are around the 200 mark.
