Remember probability has no memory. We as poker players are only gonna win a very small percentage of the time. Just make sure you are always giving yourself a true chance. Make sure your ready to be the best player when you get short handed at a final table.

It is a frustrating game, you grind, play well, get to final tables and then it all comes down to flips (if you're lucky).

Sucks, nature of the game. Hang in there, happens all the time and when you least expect it pay day does finally comes, but the “poker gods” want blood first, they seem to get off on it.

I’m struggling with this now. A great April has been followed by a terrible May in which every critical hand near the bubble, final table, etc doesn’t work out. It gets to the point where you question your game and if you are doing something wrong. It is easy to get discouraged and tilt when things aren’t going well. I’ve tried my best not to allow the latest swing to effect me. What is important is trying to playing your “A” game and stay within your bankroll at all times.

I’ve taken extra time to go review my recent hand histories to see where I’ve missed certain spots and to see things I could do differently. This helps a lot but all you can keep doing is have a positive mindset when playing and try to make the right play EVERY time. If we do this we will reap the rewards over the long term. The frustrating thing is waiting for it to happen. I was just going back over “The Elements of Poker” and this quote jumped out at me immediately when dealing with down swings or tilting so I will leave TPE Natiom with it. “To win at poker, you have to be very good at losing”.-Tommy Angelo

I too have just gone through a bad patch of bubble busting either money or FT and it is truely frustrating. If your question some of your push fold hands in these spots you should post them in the forum and get some input. i was really doubting some of my plays, but after posting and getting feedback realised I had been making the right moves and was either running into genuine big hands or a bigstack fish with no fold button, my favouirte having my 23bb reshove with AQ called by Q2s and him binking the 2 on the turn. Even with a 100+bbs most decent players snap fold here with Q2, what can I say, I was delighted to see his hand and thanked him after for trying to double me.
