Hey guys,
I play in a live league here in Toronto. The top league prize each season is a buy-in to a $1k WSOP event + flight and hotel accomodation. This is now my second year in a row winning one of these packages. In last year's event, I finished just before the end of day 1 and unfortunately just before the money (400ish/3000ish).
I'm wondering if anybody has any tips for these events. The fact that you start with 3000 chips kind of sucks because you have to be pretty aggressive/lucky to make a deep run, although I know that these events are structured to slow down a bit once the majority of players bust. I've been considering kicking in $500 of my own to play one of the $1.5k events… 4500 starting chips seems a bit more reasonable. Thoughts?
