Borgata's TD Tad just tweeted that WPT Borgata (Sept 5-22) event #1 is going to be a 1 MILLION gtd tourney and the Main event $3500 buyin will be a 4 MILLION gtd.
Event 1 last year got 1700 runners $450 buyin and I think 1st was like 150k. The main event (which I donated to) had 1300 runners and first was 950k.
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW, if you can make it and play, you should TRY. $450 to make 150k ……… The full schedule should be out in a few weeks.
I know I'll be seeing a few of you boys/girls there.

That is def sick with the Million guarantee opening event, i’ll be there for sure. Was lucky enough to cash the opener last year. IIRC Will Failla won it for $140k.

KB, you should. This series is my Vegas trip for the year normally. I love this event and series. The main gets LOTS of huge pros and EVENT #1 is crazy……………. Great structure, lots of chips and time to play. Last year got last 1500-1600 players, I think the guarantee was like $300-400K. In January, this same series got 1800 players for the same structure event #1, 1st for 150k. Will “The Thrill” won it. Borgata is a great place and has the best run tourneys. Plus, it's a WPT series and everyone shows up. It's NOTHING like the wsop circuit event. And you know I love both AC stops in the circuit.
It's not confirmed yet, but Tab (the tourney director) wouldn't have sent that tweet out if he didn't think it was going to happen. It's going to be BIGGGGGGGGGGGG

They put the 1M/$560 1a/1b on wed/thurs. If it were thurs/fri it would be a lot easier for me. That said I'll still probably be coming down for this. Looks juicy.

This is my Vegas trip for the year normally. Sooooooooooooooooooo, I'll be playing the first few events. Hopefully only playing event 1 till the main. Then, I'm in the main no matter what…….. I'm diff trying to satty into it, but if not, I'm playing day 1B on Monday Sept, 17th for the main which is a 3 Milly gtd. Lots of tourney Pros, last year they got (Dave Will, Vanessa S, Allen Cunninham, our own Lee C & Mike L (I believe Mike), Gavin Smith, the Mizracki brothers, Chino Reem, Phil Collins and many others. I made day 2 and was two outtered by a Bustout Pro, boat over boat. FMPL, lol
I hope to see a bunch of you boys down there. I know I'll see Lee Childs, my buddy Hammer, MMfitter, Dantastic is up in the air, I'm going to try to talk Ttwist, but his Atlantic City trip is normally the WSOPC in Dec………………………
Just looking forward to it. Event 1 is going to be CRAZY………………..
KB or anyone else………… I'll be there from Tues-Sun the first week and then back the week of the main. I'll see you all there………………

I know some of you are coming to Borgata for the Poker Open Sept 5th (event 1 MILLION gtd)
If this weekend was any indication on how big event 1 could be it's going to be awesome………. Saturday was a $400 buyin 100k gtd that got 1,000 runners (now that does include rebuys, but they turned some people away) & sunday/monday 1k double play 250k gtd got 600 runners. WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW
If you can try and attend event 1 (day 1a/day 1b weds/thurs) you should, it's going to be CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I know I haven't been to Vegas for the WSOP,but this series is my Vegas for the year. I love Borgata and any big series they host. Whoever shows up, I'm rooting for any of the TPE peeps or my friends……….

can't wait for this series even tho i can't play much of it lol.. playing parx wpt main this saturday and making a trip in a few weeks to seminole hardrock hollywood for their wpt regional main during my week and a half off from work.. go back to work the tuesday of the week borgata starts so can't get any time off but will probobly play some weekend events and if i happen to make a big score in 1 of these events coming up i'll be playing the main and they can deal without me at work lol.. also if u guys end up meeting up 1 night i'll drive down if i'm not already there i only live about 45 minutes away

Borgata has a loungey type bar called B Bar in the middle of the place if ya wanna meet up for drinks which is 24/7, and there's the gypsy bar outside the event center. I've never been there but they usually have live bands there. Closes at 1am though.

Hey everyone. Checking in from borgata. Just played event 1 day 1a. Bagged 96.5k. Coming back Friday to 2500/5000. Basically 20bbs. Rough day. Never had a short stack till late. No real spots AA n QQ std open and no calls for either. But got it in with 39k left in bb w/ K8o vs btn raise to 11k and sb flat. I jam n only sb calls. They both had 250k + lol. My k8 v q3hh lol. I hold. Over 110k. Finished with 96.5
1559 runners. 250 left. Thurs will be crazy. Over 1600 expected. Including killing bird n RFB n others
Hope to see a bunch of Tpe guys/girls in day 2. Glgl e/o

Well, I finished off event 1 by finishing in the money. 156 out of 3705. Biggest poker tourney outside of Vegas ever. I faught all day to get that cash. I tried but was happy. Trust me when I say I did not run good at all.
Then I played event 5. Busto that AK to flopped quads vs guy who I was battling all day.
So went and entered to 4k survivor tourney (1 out every 10 gets 4k prize). After 10 hours of play. I was lucky enough to get in the money.
Another score for the TPE family. Great time hanging with Derek n Diego n others.
Again. My owe props or my boys of Tpe & ITM. More to come. Main event next week
