Taking a multi-city vacation with the wife in mid-august and the first leg of the trip is in Las Vegas. We arrive sunday morning and depart early tuesday morning. As of now the plan is to stay at Aria. I’m interested in recommendations from TPE nation for taking advantage of this short stint in Vegas (both of our first times there which makes it trickier).

Interested in playing poker and would prefer a tournament format but worried about the time commitment. Anyone have recommendations for SnG or daily tournaments with relatively short run time? I saw that Aria has a Daily at 1:00 but I’m not sure how many runners it would have or how long it would last (optimistically if we have a deep run).

Also interested in any other food, attraction, or general recommendations you folks may have.

Good luck to everyone out there right now!!!

Where are you from, and what kind of food excites you?

Originally from Alabama but currently live in Nashville. We definitely are not picky about food with no allergies or specific dislikes. Asian and Mexican cuisine are some of our favorites for dinner. Anywhere with craft beer or interesting cocktails is also generally a success.

Original intent was to focus on recommendations for relatively short live tournaments but it seems like this post may have been better suited for the off topic forum. Not sure if a moderator can relocate the thread or if it matters… My bad.

I hope people will provide answers about the better tournaments to play in as well. I don't visit as often as I used to so I don't know offhand. Strip tournaments will have worse players but also a higher vig. Not sure how to balance one off the other in terms of EV.

The brewpub at Main Street Station downtown has great beer. For sushi, Jjanga is still pretty good. I'll be there in a week myself :9
