I just got back from playing in the freeroll tournament held at a deployed location for the United States military.  It's a tourney that generally draws about 40-60 people and pays top 3 ($50 for first $30 for 2nd and $20 3rd).  Prize pools are actually paid in AAFES gift cards but that doesn't really matter.  It helps pass the time, I'm here for 6 months so WTF I sit my boney white ass down and figure I'll make a run at glory.  Little did I know I would see the most ridiculous, terrible hand of poker I have ever seen in my life . . .

There is a guy on my crew named Domingo that has played poker now for about 2 weeks.  He is awfull.  You name a leak, he has it.
Watching him play poker is like watching live abortions.  He barely even knows that 3 of a kind beats 2 pair . . . Anyway, so the structure of this tournament is everyone starts with 5500 chips and blinds are 50/100 to start.  Blinds increase every 15 minutes and I think the levels are 50, 100, 100/200, 200/400, 300/600, 500/1000, 1500,3000 . . . I may be off on some of the levels but you get the gist of it, you start deepstacked but quickly it becomes an allinament.  Domingo is limping every hand and eventually on a two spade board he check calls all the way down and hits get a third spade on the river to complete his nut flush hand.  He jams the river and another sad sapp has a weaker flush so Domingo the donk gets an early double.  He actually wins a few more hands so he has a pretty decent sized stack by the time the hand goes down (13000 give or take a thousand).

Aith the blinds at 100/200.  He appears to take the game seriously as he is wearing sunglasses, has a card protector that says “AllIn” on it, and announces to the table that he won the last night's tournament.  He also has a pretty nice sized stack, slightly more than Domingos.  This guy sits to Domingos left.  So this guy starts off raising a lot and taking down pots uncontested.  He has increased his stack to about 15.5K when the hand goes down.

The hand starts with folds from everyone at the table until the button who decides to limp.  Domingo completes and the new guy raises.  This gets the button to fold but Domingo calls.  The flop comes down AAK, domingo checks new guy bets like 2 k into a 2 k pot.  Turn is a 7 and same thing, check from Domingo and pot sized bet from new dude.  The river is a K and Domngo checks again.  The guy shoves all his chips into the middle and Domingo agonizingly makes his terrible call with JJ.  This is where the hand gets interesting.  This guy is so flustered by the call that he mucks his hand.  He was bluffing with Q10 and just couldnt believe that Domingo would call there with JJ.  So the winning hand goes into the muck (AAKKQ) and Domingo scoops a massive pot with AAKKJ.  I couldn't make this shit up.

Anyway, just thought it was a funny hand and was wondering what kind of ridiculous bafoonery you have seen live. Good luck at the tables.
