love the site. enjoying the tutorials, playing and practicing live play when i can. Just got back from 4 table tourney in near by poker room. looking for feedback on way i played this hand:

final table 10 players/Blinds 1k/2k no antes

I have tight/agg image. only showed down two hands/premium. couple loose agg players, mostly loose passive. couple tight agg. pays top 4, two microstacks at table.

Hero BB: 15K behind

Action: MP open calls (top 2 big stack) tight/agg player

button calls loose/agg player (big stack)

SB folds

Hero checks 56o

Pot is $7K

flop: 3c7d8c

Hero bets 4K

MP folds

Button vilian calls

Pot is 15K

Turn 2h

Hero shoves for 9K

My line here is, my table image and hand range of villian is wide. I planned two barrels if no paint or A to get all in on turn if heads up with button villian. I could of check called a similar bet on the flop and plan to check fold turn if i didn't get there. villian has shown aggresion after flop to take down passive table.

Thoughts? plus or minus EV play?

villian called with T9o

River brick – hero busts in Tenth, villian wins with T high

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Cheers!

You have 8.5BB. You can’t put any chips in unless you just shove the flop, which you shouldn’t. There are better spots. You should be check folding all day. You don’t have enough chips to get a fold check-raising. Let your 6 high draw go and look for shove spots.

Thanks, totally agree. even if i'm deeper it's a tough spot oop drawing to potentially 3rd best with two limpers on a coordinated board.
