Hi guys,

I’m looking for some advice to play the second and last day of a €130 live tourney with a stack of 26 BBS!

30 minutes levels starting at 1200-2400…i have a stack of 64k

Should i play tight and wait for hands or good spots ? Should i 3bet light from the BB against a button steal ? Should i c-bet every board and maybe double barrel if the other guy didnt show strenght ? And not having the fear of going down to a 15bb stack or so ? I mean. .. what i’ve seen in the end of this first day was guys opening with mini raise and c-betting from stacks of 14bbs or so and winning pots doing it. Its amazing they can do so many things with such shallow stacks…and for me thats a big difference from my online experience where people tend to shove or re-shove with stacks like that. And these guys are playing hands like A5o or 89 … So… lets imagine i have a monster hand like KK for example. I mini open utg and i know i will get called from many of these guys and play multiway pots… so, to avoid this should i raise more? From my 26 stack? Should i go all-in ? Whats the minumum stack to start doing it ? Shoul i wait untill im down to 10 or 12?

Sorry if these are to basic questions and i dont know if its understandable what im trying to ask (my english is to basic 😉

Tx

Cheers

Just imo, but I wuld not get super out of line.  You have some opens available to you that you can fold to raises, you might even have a light 3bet against the right opponent and the right stack.

Challenge will be that you are going to obv come back to new opponents so you probably wont have many reads until you have played a few orbits at which point you might not have the options available to you anymore based on your stack.

So I'd keep it pretty snug and then if you get down in that 15-18 BB range start looking for 3 bet shove spots.

Oh well… not good news!!

Busto in two hands:

AK vs QQ ( i open from cut off and this guy on the button raises all-in for 38k. I call with a stack ok 58k)

The blinds go up after a while and i go all-in from my 5 bbs stack with KJo . But the same guy wakes up with aces!!! Lol… So it was over for me 😉

Next time will be better 😉

Cheers

I forgot to give you the “win flips” advice. frown

Nothing you can do there…completely standard just unlucky. on to the next one!
