Some people just don’t know how to start off the year on a positive note. I played in one of Ballys 5k GTD nightly Buy in $70 pays out 12 spots with first place getting somewhere around $1600 and change . This casino has its share of characters and disturbos. What do you expect? I guess you get what you pay for. This guy middle aged , sort of resembled late comedian Sam Kinnison buys in 45 min after tournament began. The blinds were 3 6 He min raises and the guy to his left raise to 5k. The Kinnison lookalike goes bananas gets up from his seat and throws his hands up in disgust. “How can you do this to me ? I just f=== got here . He repeats the same line more than once. For god sake you would think the poor guy shoved on him . All he did was raise. He tanks for quite some time until black dude late 60’s tells him to hurry up or he will call clock. That remark enrages him even further. “F you piece of sh i will take my time ” Black dude calls the floor and the original raiser gets a warning then throws his pocket J’s or K’s into the muck. Life is short and this moron is making a big issue over a raise in a $ 70 tournament yet? I despise these tournaments because of the rake, the bad players bad structure, but sometimes you have to play within your budget . The decor and atmosphere of the poker room also known as the Wild Wild West is in dire need of a major facelift if they are even thinking of competing against the Borgata which is probably the only reason why any good or mediocre player would want to gamble in Atlantic City. Then again Harrahs looks even worse than Ballys, yet they hold their annual WSOP winter series on a yearly basis . Harrahs WSOP poker rooms resemble a Bingo room in local Jewish synagogue . When casino gambling was legalized in NJ back in 1978 only one casino existed . I believe it was Claridge . As more casinos were built , AC began to rival Vegas. Now it rivals nothing. The end is near .

Not sure WHY you even needed to post this. If there’s a NJ/Philly casino REP for this site it’s been me since the start.
NO one who actually really plays poker is going to Ballys. I’ve been playing for a number of years and have NEVER been in their poker room.
Why not just go to Borgata? Even Harrahs and now Golden Nugget are better……. lol Why even bother posting this, lol
BTW, exactly what Andrew said…….. what did you expect for a $70 5K nightly w/ mostly subpar players who barely know how to actually play.
You did bring up a good point about Ballys $70 buy in. You will be surprised how some , but not all are pretty decent regs at Ballys. Yes Borgata is like Lexus compared to a Ford when comparing it with Ballys but as far as quality of competition , there is not that much of a difference. The only real difference is that Ballys players are too cheap to fork over the extra $50 to $100 more to play at Borgata . Dude the “why even bother posting this” was sort of uncalled for . Maybe others might enjoy reading
