Does anyone have a good model for scoring in a WSOP qualifying league?  We have 10 players who want to hold a league, with the winner representing at the main event. We have come up with a decent structure, but would like to hear of any proven models.

Current plans are to have a monthly table tournament and award 10 points for first, 9 for 2nd, etc. each time we get together.  We expect to offer 12 dates to allow for schedule conflicts and to allow each player to count their ten best finishes.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I’d be interested in any insight on this as well, as our neighborhood home game is thinking about doing something similar.
