I don't play much live poker these days. I only realy play the tournaments since the I dont have much money to play the £1/£2 cash games. But i've got a friday night off from work and i'm thinking about heading to the casino for a £20+£2 tournament.
The stack is 4000 chips and will be a 20 minute blinds. I've played in this tournament before and since it's in a busy city you can expect around 100-120 players. Most of them will be drunk gamblers.
But is it realy worth the trouble of the drive, paying £22, playing in a tournament which I will have to get lucky in and the the annyoing structure**.
Maybe I should go and just have fun but im having second thoughts as i've been running bad in tournaments recently.
** If it isn't a deepstack tournament then I think live low buy-in tournaments turn into crapshoot. The amount of chips and the crappy blind structure make it a shove/fold situation during mid stages.

if 20 pounds isn't a lot of money to you, and within your recreational spending budget, then just go and have fun.
personally i dont include any live tourneys in my bankroll, i treat them as fun/bonus money. but then again i dont play them every week either.
