Played the last event before the main event last week and it was a super tough field and super tough table.
Had the pleasure of meeting Wein. He helped me re-group a bit after describing a tough hand to him.
I got KO'd a couple of levels after dinner break and I remember thinking that, of course I could have played better, but I was fairly satisfied with
my play.
It wasn't until the next day that I realized my most critical mistakes involved a few winning hands, not losing ones. In at least three hands,
I remember being content with winning nice sized pots. But in all three, not once did I think about stacking off my opponent.
Not getting max value in those hands, especially at a table with tough players where chips were tough to come by, were probably critical mistakes.
