Need some help TPErs .. Next week is the AZ state championship and its 1000+80 buyin 1milly GTD.

I have a decisions I need to make I can’t figure out which route will be best for me to lock up a seat in this tourney.

First, I’m 28 Yrs old married with 2 kids. I’m a E-learning designer and make decent money. However I’m the main income of a family of 4 and can’t justify to my wife to let me buy into a 1000$ tourney . I can’t justify it to myself either. Butttt lucky I was able to talk my wife into letting me play 1 of 2 satty for 120$.

#1 – 10 man SNG at casino Arizona 2000 starting stack 15min levels winner gets a seat. 120$ buy in – now online I play 10man SNG and win with some consistance and know basic SnG theroy. I feel like I would have an edge here but know that this will play very high variance. With that being said Im hesitate to play. But it’s only 9 player to get the seat.

#2 a 120$ buy in MTT – it’s ran and held by a bar league. The league will pay top 10% of the field. 10k starting stack 30min levels. Now the league players I know some and I feel I have a huge edge on this field .. Most if not all players here are bad.. Standard bar league stuff but I think play will change since now instead of free poker it’s 120$ to play. I’m guess 100+ will play and that’s a lot I’m thinking.. My MTT game I feel is pretty good as I’ve shipped some MTT online and live as well. I understand MTT more then SNG but I’m still not sure which one will be easiest route but give me the most edge to lock up a seat..

O and I can only play 1 tourney BR = 120$
