Whats up tpe community?!

I m semi-pro backgammon player(its wasnt my job but every time i needed cash bg was there for me!my error rate is 3.5)and
a poker enthusiast.Poker was my hobby and a way to relax after long sessions of studying bg.I was the target the fish or whatever
u wanna say and i didnt mind it cause i just wanted to have fun.

Due to the crisis in greece and the restrictions in the bank system the sites i ve been playing bg on have left the country and i can only
play in 1 sait with very low volume...With the minimum wage at 400 euros and the loans constanly on my shoulders options were limited.
This is where poker came back to my life.I started the same way i did with bg,watched some vids downloaded software and put in hours
of studying. It was easier for me to understand techical concepts cause i had a strategical backround and be sure bg is a highly stratigical
game with GTO aspects to it.After some success i found out about tpe, probably one of the best desicions i ve made in the game!

I know i have a lot to learn and it will take time and hard work and i dont mind it.What i m conserned is that i dont think i can have 2 wifes
for too long!I have to choose one.Nobody in my life is a pro gambler and noone really understand that its realistic,so u guys r the ones to ask.
Has any pro here made that transition to poker from something else? With poker being tougher every year edges getting smaller and the
Moneymaker era at its end should i go further or its better to stick to my guns(BG)?thnx in advance

Welcome to TPE!!

I think depends on what you want, if you make good money from bg, and you don´t expect to make much more from poker, for me you should keep playing bg. If you are happy with it obviously.

If you want to change things, are tired from bg can be good to try something else.

But I think if you really want to be good at something you have to do only that, be a one trick poney, and do that very well.
