Just want to introduce myself and thank TPE pros and members for the education. My name is Shawn and player name is Casinoshawn. While I am probably one of the oldest TPE members (57), I do enjoy listening to all the back and forth fun jabbing on videos and podcasts (reminds me of my younger days). I’m also living proof you are never too old to improve your game. Over the years I have had pretty good success playing live and on the Internet. It’s just a hobby for me vs. a profession for others. Since joining the site, I have won several tournaments on Lock including the Sunday 109, the High Rollers, and others. I am now listed as being in the top 20 on profit for Revolution Network. Since I am older and am lucky enough to have other income, I use my poker money to buy entertainment items and pay for trips. It’s a nice source of extra income. I wish TPE had been around when FT was still in US. I did ok on that site too, but would have done much better had I been able to listen to TPE pros. I have become a much more aggressive player since joining the site. I would rate my play as average to above average. I make mistakes on a daily basis, but those mistakes are generally because I am too aggressive vs. too passive. That seems to work for me. It allows me to build up a lot of chips sometimes. I watch the videos daily to pickup tips from different pros. I also like to listen to podcasts when exercising. Enjoy your youth…..it’s tough to get fat and old!!! Anyway, thanks for all the tips, I know your site has really helped me in both my live and Internet play. One note, now that I have done ok on Lock, I’m looking for other poker site options. I have had successful withdrawals on Lock but the wait is getting to be too frustrating. It will take me at least a year to withdraw my funds at the rate I’m going. The money is starting to feel like it isn’t real because you can’t withdraw it in a reasonable period of time. It doesn’t matter if you are young or old, not being able to withdraw your funds in a timely manner sucks!!! I hope Lock improves their site, but I am beginning to lose hope (along with many others).
