my name is Marloski (Mar-lo-skee), I've been playing live poker for quite some time now.  Currently I am trying to find my poker self.  Recently I hopped on the iphone wagon and came across the TPE podcasts.  I've listened to the first 7 dating back to 2010.  I lack a group of poker friends.  I have no one to talk poker with.  Caught the bug in 2000 & been playing since then, the past five years I have been learning on my own from live experience, to sucking real bad online, reading some online material including the 2+2 forums.  I don't think I am going to stop playing cards anytime soon so all I can do is get better (or try to at least).  TPE is the main resource I'm going to use now in terms of live tourney advice.  I have a live hand that I want to post maybe tomorrow.  It's a hand from the daily $125 at the Aria that I played a week ago.  Can't wait to get feedback from the TPE community; can't wait to dive into the videos, articles, forums and all that info!

Welcome to TPE! I found that watching videos on the site was the most influential on my game. I would check out the videos first and find a pro that you like to watch and go through their content. I personally watched videos made by Ben Warrington and Danny Noseworthy when I first subscribed. I found that I could understand their logic and hand reasoning the best. The theory videos are also a great way to start understanding basic and more advanced strategies and concepts used in mtt's. Have fun going through the content here on TPE.

thanks packallama! i actually started watching “aaaaaaa” videos last week and i am now going over the theory library.  ive been focusing on videos with early stage strategies.  i just recently started playing deep stack live tournaments and needed advice on how to approach them.  i am mostly a cash game player so i feel like i have a good understanding of post flop play and im not afraid to mix it up post flop.  my weaknesses that ive noticed revolve around poker math such as learning my hand equities, and going with my gut instincts such as folding JJs when i get 3bet by a nitty-noob instead of 4bet shove.
