hey all.

I was a member here a few months ago and to be honest didnt get the full value from this site. I heard about the offer on twitch so thought i would give it another try.

In all honesty I am a slightly losing player think I’m down about $300 in 3k games. I desperately want to turn this around, I have a passion for poker and making money is always a good bonus. Currently i am playing in the micro stakes with my highest stake being $2.20 but usually it is the 55c and $1.10 donkaments for me!

Can anyone reccomend any good videos for a micro player looking to improve, I’m not affraid to put in the effort as I have been playing for a few years now and I wouldnt have carried on if i didnt love the game!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

All the best, hope we all make it big

Matt

Hello Matt. Can't recommend any micro videos per se, I know 180 man's run at $2.50 level so IGTS 180 man series was good. Down $300 over 3K hands? Is that your total sample size? You say you've been playing a few years...

If it is your total sample size then it really is not that large, or even large enough to infer anything from regarding long term ROI. It is not tiny either, but I am not sure you can categorise yourself yet as either winner or loser.

None of that means anything anyway, as we grow as players over time, losers become winners and even vice versa, unfortunately.

What does stfc stand for?

Not sure why text formatting got messed up?

3k games not hands, i have been playing recreationally for 3-4 years and only started taking it seriously in the past 4-6 months where i try to improve my play.

STFC is my football team shrewsbury, it is just my twitch name i thought why change it (had my twitch account for years)

Welcome. The low-stakes step in TPE University probably has some good vids to start with. Sounds like you’re better than the average player but not good enough yet to beat the rake, assuming your sample size is large enough. (3,000 tournaments ain’t nothing.)

Have you used a HUD for your previous action? If so, there are some HUD analysis vids that could help you find leaks in your game. Otherwise, start using one now, and soon you’ll have new ways to evaluate your play.

i use jivaro, thanks mate i will check them out. I feel that big stack play is one of my weakest aspects. Short stacked i think I am pretty good, i use the jennifear chart for push/fold so am pretty unexploitable

Hey Matt…2 things

I figured stfc was a football club but couldn’t think which 1!

Also, sure I figured 3 K games not hands, so my comment still applies. As I said, it’s not a very small sample, but still probably too small to infer winner/loser just yet..

Edit: oh crap, I did say hands in my original post I see, I meant games! My bad.
