What's up TPE,

Long time listener of the podcasts, been enjoying them a great deal and decided to sign up for the site, if only to give back to all of the work you all are doing (and to improve my game of course). I play pretty recreationally here in New York City but am serious about getting better. Play 1-2 home games a week and a few private online games when I can.

Have a question – tomorrow morning I am playing in a 40-person (small MTT) $350 WSOP satelittle (private game – no rake), which will be my biggest buyin for a tournament so far (have played some cash high than that but not a lot).

In terms of the videos, artices & forums on the site — anything you all could recommend me start with to prep a bit for tomorrow?

Appreciate it.

Hey NYC,

If you have only played recreationally to this point, I’d recommend the “sticking it to the man” series. You may find they cover some common mistakes that you may be making (I did!) and give some good advice on plugging basic leaks.

It’s easier said than done, but don’t think about the size of the buy in or the fact that this is the biggest tourney you’ve played – it will affect your in-game decisions.

Play your best, and hopefully run good.

Best of luck..

Thanks Dorn & KB –

Was able to relax and not think about the buyin too muc today although in the end I did not run too well (not counting my straight flush during the 2nd level). Mostly card dead and no one was folding to my cbets when I tried to isolate with 3bets or any aggression pre.

Will check out the sticking it to the man series for sure.

Appreciate the feedback!
