Hi all.  My name is Sam Alagha; from Scottsdale, Arizona.  I’ve been playing poker since 2002, with a great emphasis on MTTs.  In fact, I stopped playing cash game altogether a few years back.  I generally play buy-ins ranging from $350-$2,500, but hoping to play my first 10K sometime soon (maybe the 2019 WSOP main event).  In the past, I used to read strategy books but recently realized that with the new age of technology, there’s probably better ways of learning.  So, here I am.

Welcome.  If you are going to start with a 10K, the ME is the way to go…

Thank you.  I’ve heard the ME is much softer than other 10K events.  Not sure if that’s true or not.  I’d love to play the ME but the only problems in years past has been that my work schedule makes it very difficult to take that many days off in a row.  I’d appreciate any insight into whether it’s actually a softer field.

On a side note, I’ve been watching the videos on this site since yesterday when I joined, and I have already identified leaks in my post-flop game.  Very excited to absorb as much content as possible in the coming months.

Welcome. Lots of great content on this site. Where have you played your larger multi table tournaments at?

Thank you.  I like the Venetian Deep Stack tourneys.  I last played the $1,600 event last week.  I generally play one or two WSOP events in the $2,500 to $3,000 range.  I play the AZ Championship every year.  I’m trying to start playing more these days; hence more effort into studying the game.  The content has been great so far.

halagha:  I am a regular at the Venetian.  My name is Danny Sprung.  Tall, somewhat thin middle aged white guy, always wearing a hat of some sort.  Hope to meet you at the tables soon.

Hey Sam,

Welcome to TPE. You are MORE than right about getting up to speed with online learning tools and TPE IS the place for MTT players. TONS of great info (it will even help cash players of course), teachers, videos and support. I HIGHLY suggest taking on the TPE University. I did (I have been playing since a bit before the MM Effect) and sure I know some of the info but the way the TPE U is setup is AMAZING!!! I eventually finished (you get a cool patch in the mail =) ) and my game improved by leaps and bounds. Way above a 20% increase on my overall ROI (cash, live MTT and online) minimum. Also unlike the majority of “flashy” sites that really don’t provide the goods this site sure as hell does!!!

Enjoy and I hope this helps you further crush,
