Hey folks.

I have some experience playing poker.  I started playing back in 2008 with friends doing 9 man tables and then slowly got into the online poker scene. I was never really what you would call an “outstanding” player, however I knew the basics of the game and was willing to improve.

I took a massive break from playing for a few years due to university and work and now I am in a stable job and have felt the bug to start playing again.  I am currently playing the micro stakes sit and go's on pokerstars to try and build up a bit of a bankroll, which will hopefully allow me to enter some of the bigger MTT's.  I'm just looking forward to the challenge of trying to build my bankroll at the minute!  This is what led me to joining TPE 🙂  The dream is to build up a nice bankroll that could lead to a nice little second source of income from doing something I really enjoy!

Are there any videos around that specifically tackle micro stakes sit and go's that give any advice on how to improve my chances of cashing/winning these events?  I have seen bigdogpckt5s 180 man series already.

Also how should I approach my bankroll management? I currently don't have a lot in my bankroll (around $40).  I am currently only playing 0.25c 90man sng's.  Is this the right sort of buy in for me?

Sorry for the lengthy post and I look forward to any responses! 🙂

Thanks

Lloyd

Welcome LAS.

There are video's from HITTHEPANDA for the MTSNG's. He does videos for the 45, 90 and 180.

That is probably about the right buyin. Variance will be a little lower in those, but I would still try and keep at least 100 buyins in my roll, so when you grow the roll a bit you can slowly move up.

This article is old, but I think still just as relevent.

Makes perfect sense, this is something I probably need to tighten up too. Cheers killingbird
