First of all I am very excited to finally be a member of TPE. Ever since I have listened to the podcast on Itunes, I have been very anxious to see what the website has. It took me months to figure out if I really needed to join. I am not trying to be cocky by that statement, I was more worried about getting confused. I have been listening and watching one person for the past 7 years. The player I have been dealing with online and offline is lordhutty. I have been playing on and off the last 6.5 years, now I am backed to play online through a company so I am getting continous hours in every week which has helped me.
When I signed up yesterday, I immediately went to the video tab and had no clue where to start. I started thinking HOLY SH*T what did I get myself into? Am I really committed to this or is this a fad I am going to go through. I went on the chat and talked on their for a couple minutes, watched the first bigdog video that he made which was a AP $15k 10bb FT video. Went to bed thinking where do I really need to go.
I really keep a open mind of what I can do to make my poker game better. I take critism very well when it makes sense.
So this morning, at work, I logged in and went through my twitter and the TPE pros were talking about a article that was just posted yesterday. I clicked on the article tab and went to the very beginning article ever posted, which was from BigDog, and I printed out seven. I just read the 4th article from Killingbird saying, “Any new member need to introduce yourself on the forum.” Thanks for the advice.
So a little about me. I have from Gastonia, NC married with one kid. I have a FT job and I play online poker about 20-30 hours a week. I love MTT. I believe I have about 10k plus hours into it. I play on Broadway Tables (Revolution Gaming) under the name DAPBowler770. I am also on pocketfives under DAPBowler. I have a couple videos on my computer that I need to narrate and put on here so some people can look at them and give me some advice. When I record I turn the mic off because I have the kid running around or the wife telling me something. My sharkscope rating is very inaccurate so please don't judge me on that.
I believe I need help with on how to get ready for the later parts of a tournament. I hate being put all in early in a tournament, especially pre, unless it is obvious. When we are down to 20% left of the field, I believe this is my weakest part of the game. I am unsure of when to make a move, if I even need to make those moves, with certain stacks. I don't use a HEM, it is very confusing to me. I have triend and I have never cashed when using it.
