Hey all – 

New guy here my name is Tom.  I'm typically a lurker and try to get some reading in but will try to change that and make some posts. I really met this great guy for lunch the other day and he did sell me on TPE. Actually, I was already hooked. Living in NYC and taking the subway or citibike around town I have listened to all the podcasts at least once and some a lot more. It's amazing how much you pick up when listening to something more than once.  It doesn't just happen when you have watched Top Gun 1800 times….

I'm much the same as a few other intro posts I just read, 40 something been playing poker since I was a kid and always liked it.  I won't say I'm a losing player but if it weren't for rakeback prior to BF I would have probably been negative.  After not playing since BF I finally started to play again this week.  I do try to go down to AC and play live and have had some success in the regular weekly Borgata saturdays and the like. I'm definitely a bit rusty and playing on Bovada I can't agree with Marc Alioto enough that I miss synchronized breaks the most. 

I look forward to being part of the community and if I can find some time around work and my two year old twins I plan to make use of TPE and all the great resources it provides.

Diego – thanks for lunch buddy.  Nice to meet like minded people and share some stories and HH's.
