Hello everyone,

i´m 36 years old , i´m portuguese and i´m a musician and a photographer. And i love poker too 😉

I´m playing for a couple of years now but it seems like i´m still a break even player (in some part because i never had a good bankroll management…2014 is the first year where i´m going to do it!!). There are some years where i ended up a little bit positive (in terms of ROI) and others where i ended a little bit negative (like 2013 for example…-10%). But i never stopped learning the game (books, videos, etc). In fact, sometimes it seems like the more we know the more difficult is to have results (i know it´s bad to be results oriented but it seems like i am a little bit because in everything i did in life i always got used to learn and experience something and then the results come…if you know what i mean… sorry my english…eheheh). So, it´s been hard to me taking so much time of my life while playing and studying poker and not having results… i don´t want to be reach you know…LOL… but i would be happy to see my efforts taking me to, at least, a positive ROI 🙂 … anyway, i´ve already won 2 small MTTS (micro stakes buy-ins…$4 i guess) and made severeal deep runs in many others including a 4th place in 5.5 + r, won some sit&gos like the 4.5 180 and the 3.5 +r 180 turbo, etc etc…playing mainly on Pokerstars. But it seems like i never ever have 2 consecutive winning days… goes like this… if i win for example the 4.5 180 for $223 in the next 10 days or so i will be loose 90% of my races when i´m ahead… say AK vs AQ ; QQ vs JJ ; AA vs rags (eheheh) and so on… i know it can be due to bad variance but i really really think it has to do with me, with my mental game because i get anxious when i´m in a loosing streak and also because i need to learn more and more !! And that´s why i´m here now… my goal is to learn with you guys and try to understand better the game and stop beeing results oriented (because i think that´s my main problem).

I´m learning a lot since i´m here and i love all the videos but i don´t know if it´s because i mainly play micro stakes games, the things i learn in the vids doesn´t work so well because people in these levels don´t respect things like opens (specially the mini-raise ones) or 3-betting and sometimes they go for all their chips just because they´re mad or lost a big pot against you. And what it´s frustrating is that they win so many times with worse hands against me in those situations… 🙂 … what can i do? It happens a lot … really… i know we have to wait for the long run and it´s good when you´re ahead (even if you loose) because it means that you made a good read and the right play etc etc… but i´m gettin´a bit tired of those situations!

Ok but that´s enough of complaining!! As i said i´m here to learn with you all (pros and members) and i will be very thankfull for that!

Sorry for my english (i hope you did understand) and by the way i have to last questions: what happened to Cougars? Is he still working with you guys? I really enjoyed his videos… The other question is: can we post a hand from BOOM! to be analysed or we have to use the hand history description?

Tx a lot and congrats to all for your great work in this community!

Cheers
