Hi everyone,
I recently re-joined and thought I'd introduce myself. I learned a lot about poker from posting / reading the 2+2 forums so I hope to stay active in the forums here as a way to keep learning. While I play both cash games and tournaments, I find tournament poker to be the most exciting. I got hooked in the MoneyMaker era when online poker started booming. My favorite introductin was Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown, but I was also caught up in the ESPN coverage of WSOP.
For about the past 10 years I've been studying and playing poker. I was moderately successful at the low stakes tourneys I once won a $4.40 1000-player tournament on back to back nights. However, I started making better money after Black Friday when I started playing live cash games in Chicago. I did well enough, and was burned out enough at my day job, that I took the leap to playing full time and moved to Las Vegas. Poker was my main source of income for 3 years. I took a day job last March but it has become drudgery and I'm going back to playing full time, hopefully avoiding some of the traps I fell into the first time to have better success.
