Hi Guys. My name is Jamie Glazier and I am a Mental Game coach that works with a number of MTT Pro's from all over the world. Joe Hachem, MonsterDong and Brendooor to name a few.

Look forward to providing TPE members with some useful Mental Game info in the future and hope to see some of you in Vegas for the WSOP.

Cheers

Ditto^^

I think my mental game is definetly lacking. It is hard to be in the right mindframe being a mtt player. You have to deal with lots of failure which you cant control, and learn to control emotion.  My baseball coach in highschool was a pitcher during his career because he could not deal with the constant failure of batting and he focused on pitching instead. For those of you who don't know baseball a .300 average is stellar and you are still failing 7 times out of ten.

So I'm really interested, and am looking forward to what you have to offer.

Jamie, Id like to see you talk to us about a couple of things but mostly on how to maintain being in the zone for long sessions, having a positive outlook in this game as well as in life, and the mental aspects needed to be successful as a poker player. It's great to have you on board.

Hello. Very grateful to have you here.” Are You Taking Out The Trash?”  made me reflect and without a doubt see an area that I must get to a point that this is second nature. I just finished 7th out of 2317 (in the $4 6k gur on stars). At many points the energy I did not waste and the ability to create positive energy at times where I was not doing so before,  snowballed into a sense of positive, balanced, focused, decision making that made it much easier to play the short stack coming into the final table (13/13). I look forward to your future contributions. Welcome to TPE and thank you for an immediate impact ( I'm sure for others as well).

Thanks Guys, hopefully we can fine tune everyone's game and I will speak to mods about starting up a Mental Game Thread in the forums.

Krul Hul, glad I could assist so soon 🙂

The couple of articles i have read  off yours have been excellent – i particularly like the “Happy Place” article in the current edition of pokernews, i thought it was brilliant.

Hey Jamie. Just curious. Are you a poker player first and mental coach second or the other way around? What is your goal as a member of TPE?

HawkeyeK9, I am a Mental Game Coach first and foremost, an avid poker player a distant second!!

I was running my Mental Game training business for many years before my wife and I fell into poker, and then realised the game is probably as Mental and Emotional based as any sport out there.

My main goal as a member of TPE is to inform the members of how they can specifically improve their emotional control, focus and helping them understand what it takes for them to bring their A game to the tables for every session.

Hopefully I can be involved with the Live Boot Camp in Vegas during the WSOP, but will look to have a positive impact on the TPE members, both on and off the felt:)
