Hey everyone! I found TPE after listening to the 2+2 pokercast episode where the big dog discussed his back to back Sunday Million chops. I have been listening to the TPE podcast since then and have watched most of the free videos.

I have been playing off and on, mostly online, for about 6-7 years. I have traditionally played cash games, but in the later part of this year have been kind of switching over to MTTs. Some of the small field US MTT schedules are pretty soft and good ways to build up a roll IMO. April of this year I deposited $200 onto Bovada. I ran it up to about 8k in 3.5 months winning a lot in both cash games and MTTs at all buy in levels. I proceeded to blow most of my bankroll Playing 1knl and 1k PLO cash games. I am now starting over and trying to build up playing MTTs.

I have only played in two live MTTs, a $365 WSOPc earlier this year and recently a $230 bounty FWPF event. I placed 18th in the recent event and it was a good opportunity for me to see how soft these small buy-in live events are. I have read and heard lots of times that live MTTs are soft, but experiencing it really made me understand. I definitely ran really well too, and I’m aware of that, but there just seems like tons of edge to be had live. I felt like I adjusted very well to live, and a lot of that has to be due to some of the strategy in the TPE podcast.

Anyway, in 2014 I plan to play 40-50 online MTTs/week and would like to play 10-12 live events throughout the year. It is quite a drive for me to get to Foxwoods/Mohegan (live in ME). I also work a lot and I am trying to balance everything, so that can be a challenge. I would really like to take a shot at playing professionally eventually, and I am dedicated to working on my technical and mental game. I’m looking forward to becoming a contributing member of the TPE community!

Thanks KB!  Definitely a big fan of the podcast.  I drive a lot for work and there are some episodes I have probably listened to 10 times.  So many of your guests are entertaining to listen to (bigdog, Mark Alioto, Mark Herm, Dan Witcher, and more) and I think the more laid back and casual format is great.

I really, really want to get out to WSOP for a week or so in 2014 even if it's just to play a couple of the low buy-in venetian events or something.  Hopefully by then I will have TPE U and a few more live events under my belt.  Looking forward to the experience.
