Hi!

I started with poker about 10 years ago. During my schooltime (17 yrs old) we played in the breaks just for fun and i was inspired by the game frome the first second on. Later, during my studietime i spended a lot of time with poker. Mostly i played online, but i also played live in the local small casino. The casino was located next to a luxury hotel, so during the nighttime a lot of low skilled business mens just spend some time and money there. For me as a student it was a good spot just to earn a little extra money (1/2€ NLHE). In this time i’ve read lots of books to improve my (cash-)game. After my studies i stopped playing poker at all. I was to busy with starting my working live that i had no time anymore to play poker. This was about 4 years ago. Today I’m founder of 2 small companies. The hard starting times are nearly (and hopefully) over, so that i’m winning a bit of freetime back to my life now.

Since a few weeks I’m back at poker again and i’m more motivated to improve my game than ever before! Already in the old days i liked tourneys more than cash game, but in that time, the cashgames were more profitable for me than Tournaments (where i was a losing player). I refreshed my knowledge from the old days and started to learn from free sources first (Twitch, Youtube, Forums, Handdiscussions…). My game increased in big steps in the last few weeks. I’ve made a studie plan for myself to improve systematically. My Goal is, to increase my bankroll up to 10k $ again, so that i can play the buy ins i enjoy (10-50$ buy ins). I dont like the small buy ins because it isnt motivating to me at all. The chance to win 200$ after a 6hr tournament doesnt bring me to my A-Game.

I want to be a winning player and i want to be a midstake-reg in tournaments! Lets see if i can reach my goal!

I hope to get some good learnings on this site. The few videos i’ve watched till now were great so im very confident to improve my game at TPE to a new level!

I’m excited to see you guys in the forum and at the tables!

PS: sorry for my grammar, but my english became a bit rusty 🙂

Hey ALF!

“I dont like the small buy ins because it isnt motivating to me at all. The chance to win 200$ after a 6hr tournament doesnt bring me to my A-Game.”

Totally understand this: in fact the advice I give to people who have lost motivation in the game…if they can genuinely afford it ofc… is to move up stakes.

Personally, I’d rather buy a lottery ticket than play the micros.

I’m not knocking guys who play the micros at all…in fact I WISH when I started I had gained my experience there, and in fact I envy those dedicated enough to the game who find satisfaction playing those stakes…but I never could, and still can’t.

If I play micro tourneys…I just spunk off my chips…can’t be bothered!
