I joined about a week or two ago and my story goes like this. A few years ago I started playing recreationaly after depositing 50 bucks on Party Poker. After losing that money and believing that site was rigged because ofcourse there's no way I might have just sucked I moved on. Next stop Absolute (rigged), Pokerstars (rigged) but less so, then finally FullTilt. After reading Super System II. and volume 1 of Harrington on Holdem, FullTilt didn't seem rigged. Amazing huh?

I built $50 up to $500 back to Zero. Another $50 up to $2100 and made a withdrawal of $1500 a few months before Black Friday. All of this was really just treading water for about 3 or 4 years. During that time period I met a player by the name of Woundlicker that invited me to a forum called NiceSqueeze. I joined but never felt knowledgeable enough to ever contribute and didn't realize the opportunity it provided to learn. I thought it took away from time to play and gain experience on the felt. I'm sure that's why my stats took a nosedive when I failed to keep up with the game.

Black Friday was a huge downer and still is but joining this site is my way of trying to learn from my mistakes in the past and use the time since Black Friday to really make an effort to learn this game. I live in California and rumor has it that we will have it passed in our state this year so I better get busy.

On a side note I listened to a podcast where you guys talked about the NiceSqueeze connection and thought what a small world and missed opportunity when it comes to learning from people that clearly know how to teach.

Did he quit poker? I see his twitter account shows an end date to his poker bio. My username back then was CHIEFFAN1969 but chief died and was reborn as Getsumall the more mature (when not tilted) willing to learn guppy.
