Finkey:

Noun, plural, Fin- keys

1. Pokey Player, half fish, half donkey

2. Has read enough strategy to be dangerous… mostly to himself.

3.Acquires an inane ability to over and under analysis things at the same time, by trying to connect the dots of knowledge in a random manner and sequence.

4. Feels they are missing some key basics, and is searching for what they might be..

I have had several thoughts on my “Hi I am me” post, the first was a bullet point of key events in my sharkscope graph, the other was some random comments of my history and decided on the above….

Long story short(er), I have read a lot of books, I have been at smaller poker strategy sites, where the signal to noise ratio was tolerable, and some brilliant people that actually explained things in a manner that made all sorts of light bulbs go off. A few of which got me on the correct path of winning and grinding sng's, the 45 mans to be precise and 20 at a time. Black Friday happened I lost my “mentor”, life happened I stopped playing.

Life became organized again, I started playing again, lots of leaks, and stupidity from the past came back into my game. I am slowly fixing them, getting no traction in my regular sng format. Dropped # of tables of sngs  and loaded a few  MTT's into the mix. This was mostly to help keep me grinding the sngs. I  have done well(ish), in big(ish) field < $13.50 tournies, but man watching some of the people I am running into, it is obvious there are a lot of people who simply and decidedly outclass me as a player…

Some of the bigger wins ( for me ) over the last 4 months

1/704  $13.50 KO @ PS for $1,358

5/2470 $11 $18k gtd @ PS for $1,112

6/1650 $5.10 hyper @ PS for $209

2/952 $13.50 KO @ PS for $1,265

8/5548 Hot $11, $25k GTD @ PS for $694

1/20064 100k deposit freeroll @PS for $229.56 ( exciting for me mostly due to size )

I should point out while trying to gain some insight to not being out classed in MTT's I came across a youtube video of Andrew coaching andre and I was like YEAH! I got get me some more of that!

It was  the way he presented what he was thinking that made me search more on him and what lead me to here. Now that I have joined, it is clear there is a lot of information here that can help me. Hopefully my questions will not drive you all too batty 🙂
