Just joined and happy to be aboard.  Been looking for a poker community.  Often bolt in and out of casinos at tournaments and see all the regulars but my good friends don't really play so it will be great to discuss hands and such.  Until now, I've been using twitter for some discussion.  Found the podcasts a couple months ago and have ripped through most of them during my commute on the 9-5.  I travel around the Pacific Northwest (as the wife allows) playing MTTs.  Play a bit online but most of my success has come live in monthly $200-$400 buyins.  

I've been playing relatively seriously for about a year after playing recreationally for more than a decade.  Never read a book and was a total nit.  Things have changed.  Now I can't stop playing…and learning.  I love the math but I also love theory and talking about hands.  I watch livestreams from various tournaments about once a week.  I'm an aggressive player and should fit right in as far as that goes with most TPE players from what I've seen. 

I've stepped it up to play some $1ks lately and finished 12th (outta 160-180) in the last two…which is brutal (as discussed in the most recent podcast). The most recent near miss was the Deepstacks event in Oregon and was my first chance to play on a livestreamed table which was fun.  I've got a couple events coming up that I'm excited about as well so looking forward to doing some studying in the coming weeks.
