Hi TPE
As many people do at this time of year I have made some resolutions, one being to become a more active part of TPE. I probably should start with an introduction. Here goes….

I’ve been a member for 14 months now and I LOVE the site.

Prior to joining I had been playing poker for about 18-24 months having known nothing about how to play previously.

I was trying to play mainly cash but when I luckily went deep in a MTT on Party I googled MTT training, or something similar, and hit the jackpot with TPE.
At the time I had just had a knee reconstruction (marathon injury) so watched plenty of videos and soon realised just how little I knew. I improved enough to be able to pay for some coaching and having enjoyed his videos I got in touch with “KidCardiff”. BEST MONEY I’VE SPENT. I immediately had better results notching a few four figure scores, twice winning The $55 Twister on 888 and a 5th in a $10r $40K Guaranteed on Stars amongst them.

That’s when my appendix decided to burst ! By the time I’d recovered months later my wife who was pregnant was unable to walk so my poker since summer has gone to pot a little to say the least.

Happily we’re all recovered now so with the New Year upon us it’s time to start again.
Obviously with a six week old baby I’ll not be able to grind as much as I’d like to just yet but as I said at the beginning I intend to be more active on here which I can do and, in time, hope to put to use the things I learned plus the confidence I gained from early 2013 and grow again from there when I get back to the tables.

Before I finish I’d like to thank KB, Ron and everyone else involved for all their great work putting this awesome site together

I just joined TPE. I live my life in a cubicle working for a blood-sucking corporation. Poker is a hobby and a passion. I dream of retirement (in 13 years) and then making money as a amateur/pro poker player.

I started off playing cash (25nl) in 2009 and then progressed to MTT's.

Went to Vegas for the 1st time in 2011 for the WSOP and FT a $300 buy-in at Ceasar's.

Black friday wiped out most of my bankroll and my desire to play.

Started playing again last month and found that online poker is still alive and well in the U.S.A.

Good results in the microstakes MTT's ($11 and below) over the last month. So far a 1st, a 2nd, two 4th's, a 5th, and several FT's.

This site is helping my game tremendously. Finding that I am picking up chips in places where I would not have before thanks to check raising, 3 betting, staying active, and paying attention to hand reading and post-flop play.

Recommend videos of Bigdogpocket5s, Dary Jaycee, and Andrew Bokos.
