Hello all!

I'm from Poland, Cracow and I have been playing online poker for almost 1,5 year. I don't play many live tournaments because it's prohibited in Poland :(. But we hope that this situation will change in few months.

I was trying everything – from cash game, through heads up sng to turbo sngs, but I always returned to the MTT. This is the biggest pleasure and fun for me to play tournaments, to compete with other players and trying to be the best. Maybe it's because I'm familiar with competition – I'm amateur volleyball player and in general active person.

Apart from playing poker, I like volleyball, gym, ski, travelling. I study mechatronics (it's mix of mechanics, electronics and IT). Love girls:)

I'm not a begginer, but I have a lot to improve. I'm going to focus on mid-stages, and a mental game, because I think that psyche is the most important part in poker.  And with chatting with you I'm going to improve my english 🙂

My biggest succes was 4/12148 in 11$ daily forty grand on PS. I also made some final tables.

Now I'm playing up to 55$ freezouts, 11$ rebuys and some shots (for example today I'm going to play miniFTOPS 2 day event for 215$).

GL to all you guys!

There is a big battle between polish poker players and polish government. Everything started in January 2010 when government made a new law to ban slot machines (Because there was a big affair that people launder money using them) and, by the way, they banned poker, bookies and any kind of gambling.

Cash games are prohibited at all, and we can play tournaments only in casinos with a 25% tax (in addtion to rake) so it's obv EV- and professional poker players don't play them. It's why there aren't any poker tournaments like EPT or WPT in Poland (there was  EPT Warsaw in 2009, so before this new law).

Of course we play home games or in pubs, with low buyin and with friends only, but we have to hide and we can't advertise poker because it's still illegal and police can arrest us for playing 3$ freezout :D. Internet gambling is illegal in Poland too, and government classified poker as gambling, so in theory we shouldn't play online.

But there is a trial in court between Polish Federation of Poker and Polish Government, and if we win, they will have to legalise poker. Everything should be clear in next few months. If you have any idea how to help us, plz send me pm:)
