Hi guys and girls,
I have previously mentioned having a UK meet. I have been looking at dates and events that will be as central as possible for the first one and I've thought of 2 good venues and wanted your thoughts and suggestions.
1. GUKPT 8th – 14th April at G Casino, Didsbury, Manchester.
2. Dusk till Dawn Casino, Nottingham – 23rd – 24th March or 29th – 30th March.
The G Casino in Didsbury only opened last year and is in a good location, only a few miles from the center of Manchester. Looking at DTD this seems to have a really good daily tourney schedule and isn't far from the center of Nottingham. Both are easy to get to and there is an abundance of hotels nearby.
It really would be great if we can get a TPE community together in the UK and arrange regular meetings at live events. I will also be on twitter (Gav Plowman) trending #TPEUK to get as much interest as we can. I have only been to a few live events myself so want to try and attend more and this is a great way for us all to get more involved in the online scene. All thoughts on this thread are welcome.

Hi guys,
I cant make the 30th and 31st March as its my mum and dads Golden Wedding anniversary but how do people feel about meeting Sat 23rd and Sun 24th March at Dusk till Dawn. I thought we could meet at the casino on the Saturday then play in a tourney or 2 on the Sunday? I've looked at hotels and there are quite a few really close to DTD on laterooms.com so getting a room for the Saturday night won't be a problem.
If you follow this link and fill in your details you'll just need to bring some photo ID to DTD to complete your membership if you haven't been before – …..m/join.php It looks like they usually have 3 tourneys on the Sunday with guarentee's and buy in's of £300+36, £100+15 and £25+6.
I dont know how far foilks are travelling so let me know what times would be best to meet on the Saturday night and if you have any other idea's. I'm not on facebook but tweet on twitter under GavPlowman so will tweet when details are updateed.
