Hey everybody

The site looks awesome, looking forward to improving greatly as a tournament player.

“Queso” is Spanish and “Fromage” is French for cheese, so there you go, double cheese:  that's me.

I picked the name a long time ago before I ever heard of Jim “Mr. Big Queso” Collopy, so yes, everyone will think I am a copycat.  Oh well.  I'm afraid I will be forever draped in cheese.

A little about me:  been playing for about a year and a half now, only recently trying to grind a lot of games, hopefully start to increase my bankroll.  I'm pretty much at home in the 6.50 45 man turbos on Stars right now… but I can't seem to stay ahead of variance.  For example, I've won three of these things in the past week (2 in the last three days), and yet because of how many I've played and not cashed in, I'm behind.  Keep chopping wood, I guess.

I was friends with Jason Mercier's parents back in the eighties and early-mid nineties; we had a lot of church-type Wednesday night suppers and such; I distinctly remember Jason crawling across the floor as a baby.  LOL.   He wouldn't know who I was though now, we moved out of South Florida in 1998 so I guess he was ten or eleven or something then.  (An interesting side note:  my ex-wife married Jason's uncle last year, so I guess that makes my son Jon (an avid poker player himself) Jason's step-cousin or whatever.  smile  LOL  they don't know each other though.

I'm the number two poster at Pokerology.com (almost up to 4000 posts now), behind only the founder of the site…  it's a great little community and a terrific free poker school, and I hope it blows up huge in the months and years to come.

I probably won't post anywhere near as much over here, only because I hope to keep my mouth shut and actually learn something for once!

Best of luck to all of you on the felt!
