I have played online poker since about 2005. I started with play chip sngs and then a whopping $100 deposit so I could play real money sng’s. I went broke with that and deposited one last time. Since then I have been a winning player mostly thanks to good bankroll management and good game selection. My only live event was Aruba last year after winning the seat using AP steps starting with playing 100 step 1’s and then going all the way.
I was once a keen student of the sng game and learned quite a bit from jennifear/punkinbear. Carpal tunnel stopped me from mass multi-tabling on Stars and brought me back to AP where I find other weak games to play. Mostly UT rebuy satellites where winner takes all and the game is basically push/fold.
I am a retired software engineer/manager with a degree in Math.
I have been railing bigdogpckt5s ever since he use to win the TLB on AP on a weekly basis mostly from $100 sng’s. I feel learning MTT’s is my best next step in poker and joined here to learn from the best. I’m fairly good at accumulating chips during rebuy and fairly good at low stack push/fold. Its the deeper 30+ BB poker that I believe I am bad at so I tend to nurse my big stack until it becomes a push/fold 15BB stack during hours 2 and 3. That’s the biggest void that I know I have although clearly I still have a lot of donk in me.
You can find me playing 15r 20r 30r games on AP along with a few $40-$130 freezeouts. I’m also in almost every 10r UT satellite they run.
