Hi guys

I’m pretty excited to be a new member. Have been working my way thru old episodes of TPE podcast for the last few weeks. Love it!

I’m lucky enough to live in Australia, so no issues playing online. My only issue is time. I have a wife, two little kids and a full time job that is pretty demanding. So I really can only play 2-3 nights per week for say 3 hours max.

I have been chipping away at $7 SNG’s, either 9,18 or 27 seaters because time wise they work out well. I am trying to teach myself to 2 table, but I play worse when I do that. I also generally avoid turbo’s because i find i eventually just end up flipping too often. So anyway my question is… With limited time, where do you think my best opportunities are in game selection if I both want to improve my game but also get to say $1000 roll in 6 months. I’m at $350 now after about 6 months of playing the aforementioned games. I started with a $50 deposit.

Should I go for bigger field turbo tourneys? Or stay with SNG’s?

Love your work!

The $2.50 180-man turbo are insanely soft and should be the max. BI you can afford with your roll. If you like to stay away from bigger swings, don't start these until your roll is far over $500, though.

I think $7.00 SNGs are great, try to play the turbos, I think it's inevitable, when you are limited in time. If you can switch from 1table $7.00 18-man normal to twoabling $7.00 18-man turbo, even if you don't have that many postflop advantege spots in the later stages, you will be able to increase your volume by at leaste a factor of 5x. If your normal ROI was 50% and your turbo ROI is 25% when two-tabling, this should still increase your earning significantly!

About the two-tabling issue: Yeah it's normal to play worse, but you get double the volume, so unless your results drop dramatically you should give it a try. In my optinion multi-tabling is a lot of practice, so just give it a try!

To get more used to the turbo format and bigger fields, try the $1 90man turbos.
