I was a FT junkie for a while but never the status of pro or anything, just a grinder and hack I guess till black friday. I was actually just starting to build a small bankroll in the $5, $10 and $20 SNGs and cashing in some of the bigger tournaments before it all went kablooyee.

I play in a regular home game 2x a month that's 18-20 players. I cash regurlarly but haven't won the whole thing yet which greatly irritates me. My game has greatly improved though a ton of reading, watching and rewatching WSOP tourneys. I also just recently found Lock poker and the TPE podcast and it worked-I signed up for a membership.

I'm pretty much an ABC player with a few “moves” but I need to aggress my game up, widen my range appropriately-in position and short handed-and get over suck outs by bad players. Mostly I want to be more aggressive. I've almost completely eliminated limping which means my big pairs don't get cracked as often but I don't get paid all the time either.

I also lay down top pair too often giving the villain too much credit for a strong raise. I hate the feeling of guessing wrong and making the call but instead I get outplayed because I made a decision out of fear and not a read. That's another hole in my game, accurately predicting ranges.

Anyway that's part of my story. My biggest win is only $1000 chop at Delaware Park casino. I took 99th in a FT tournament before black friday out of about 7000 entrants. Hope to start cashing and winning more often much like everyone else

welcome!

you speak well and you have identified areas in your game that you think you can improve, that is definitely the first step and i think that shows you will improve quickly

good luck!

BTW…I just ordered a TPE shirt. You guys have made a convert out of me. Love the podcasts. Finished 2nd in $2 R/A out of 79 players. Used a lot of what I've heard in the podcasts, took some risks I don't normally take including using scare cards to my advantage and definitely won a few hands without the best cards. Lookin forward to sporting my new TPE shirt (not at the tables though, don't want them to think I know what I'm doing)
