Hey everyone, I've been listening to the podcasts since they've started and I really enjoy them.  I decided to sign up for the site because this year I really want to be serious about improving my game and being able to realistically compete in some bigger events.

I may be a little different than most members.  For one thing, I've never played a hand of online poker in my life.  That gave me some pause about signing up as I imagine most of the discussion here is about online play.  In the end though, I figure that poker is poker and I'm sure that I will learn plenty here.  The other way I figure I'm probably apart from the crowd is that I suspect just by signing up I raised the average age of site members a couple of tics.  So please be patient with the old fart live donk.  He really does want to work to get better.
