When our stack size is within push/fold, how do we adjust our range when we face an open from a villain? Do we tighten up a bit? I know there are some hands that are no-brainers but for example, SnapShove says its correct to shove A5-3s from UTG+1 with 16bb. If we are facing an Open from UTG is it still correct to shove these hands or do we fold and wait till the pot is un-opened?

No the SnapShove ranges all assume the action folds to you. There’s no easy answer to your question, it depends on factors like the V’s position when he opens, but in most cases you need to be MUCH tighter. The profitability of a lot of those shoves relies in no small part on the chance that everyone folds. Once there’s a raise in front, that’s much less likely to happen.
Have you seen my Getting Off on the Right Foot series? I think it will help you think about where value comes from in a lot of the spots you’re asking about recently.

Technically it’s assuming a call, not a reshove, so there are some spots where the math will be a little off. Like, if someone shoves 20K and you and several players behind you have 100K, SnapShove will give a Nash call range (though in practice a lot of people shove tighter than Nash which you can exploit by calling tighter than Nash), not a reshove range. And when you have the much behind, you probably want to just call your whole range.
It’s trickier when the call will commit your stack to others behind you. Say it’s a shove for 20K and you have 50K with several behind you who cover. Now you have to call tighter than what SS recommends because it’s not factoring in that you’re risking 50K to players behind you. You can use HRC to get a more precise look at how stack sizes of other players affect Nash shove and call ranges.
