Hi TPE,
I found out that this topic is not discussed seriously on onther forums, and I think it's a good segment to talk about.
What are today's edges in live cash games (both home games and casinos)
I am curious how many BBs can you win per live game session (~7-8 hours of play)
I have some hands played live here in Romania, mostly at lowest games (1/2 RON) about 0.25/0.5 $. But they are wild games with endless straddles and 1-2 huge fishes always present at the tables, and rarely 1 good reg, but I dodn't think that my about 30 days of accounting live poker is relevant.
I am curious for a good live cash game player what is his edge at 1/2$ 1/2Euro. I plan on making a cash game trip in Europe and some feel about cash games arund here or in general will be helpfull.
Thank's TPE !

I've heard some pretty wild estimates that seem ridiculously optimistic to me. A lot depends on factors like the buy-in, the average stack size, and the rake. The biggest problem with 1/2 is that the rake usually cuts massively into anyone's win rate. I'm sure something like 15 bb/100 is attainable in a juicy 1/2 game, but I also think most people good enough to get a rate like that would move up. Remember that it's basically impossible to get a decent sample size in a cash game, so anyone who wants to tell you that he's up $X/hour even over a year or two is probably (a) lying and (b) running good.
