So this will be the first of three hand I have either played or seen played over the past week or so and I found them very interesting. In this spot, I have just sat down at the table and this is my second hand dealt and effective stacks are $500. It is a straddled pot with two limpers and it folds to me in the sb with J10off. I call as does BB and we go 5 ways to the flop. The flop is J105rainbow. It checks to the guy in the straddle and he bets $40. One limper calls and I check raise to $150. The original better folds and the limper calls. Turn is an A. I decide with $340 behind it will be quite difficult to get villain to put more money in with a worse hand. I choose to check/decide and villain fairly quickly fires out $175. I think at this point it becomes a question of whether or not villain would bluff this turn of take a free card with a straight draw like 89 or Q9. I conclude that I dont really know if he is capable of bluffing and dont think there are many worse value hands that he bets here and so I fold. Im curious to hear thoughts about the turn as well as possibly other ways to play the flop like either check calling or leading.
