This hand was played at Parx Casino in PA. The 2/5 here is 1k max as opposed to my home of Borgata. I hate the drive but the games are just too good to not make a trip every now and then. This particular pot is played against a 20 something live grinder who I actually think is a good solid reg. Ive played alot with him both at Parx and Borgata.

I open 65cc to 20 from utg 1 with about 1500 behind and villain calls from utg2 with about 1300 behind. We go to the flop HU and it comes Q82cc. I lead 30 and villain makes it 90. I think his range in the spot includes 88, 22, and AQ for value hands and definitely some draws. Im not certain he would raise his sets as he knows that I will be cbetting this board close to 100% but its certainly possible. I decide to call with the plan to not get too attached to any turn cards. The turn is the 9d and I check to villain who bets 135. I pick up a gutshot but I think my hand is too weak to continue for value. However, this seems like a fairly decent spot to turn my hand into a pure bluff.

I thought about what my range would look like in this spot and conclude im going to have some Qs like AQ and possibly KQ as well as KK and AA. Im also going to have all the flush draws I made it to the flop with and then QQ, 88, and 22. With the top of my value range I think a raise is just an absolute must given my opponent may have a draw and there are rivers that cause my opponent to shut down. If im going to balance that 65cc seems like a pretty good candidate. I think I can get folds from some of the weaker value hands like AQ and can setup river shoves against his missed draws if the river bricks. I decide to make it 425 and villain tank calls. Villain now has about 665 behind and the pot is now $1070. The first thing that comes to mind is that I think he just shoves all his made hands like sets and possibly J10cc. This leaves him with basically just AQ and probably nut flush draws. If I think he folds AQ a fair amount on the turn its possible he only has draws with this line. The river is an offsuit 5. An important piece of info is that the Q and 8 are both clubs and the 2 was offsuit. I think its reasonable to assume that the only draw Im losing to is exactly 9xcc. If he called with AQ on the turn I dont think he ever folds on a brick river and if he only has missed draws and 9xcc and AQ he should only ever be betting his missed draws. Check/call, as crazy as it may seem, looks like the way to play this river.

Thoughts on basically everything in this hand lol?

If you're opening 4x, this is probably a fold pre-flop. I don't think you can afford to put so much money into the pot from out of position with 6-high, especially not with so much money behind a well. Notice that in this hand even if you'd made a flush on the turn or river you'd have to play it defensively if Villain kept betting. Small suited connectors really go down in value the deeper you are, especially when you are OOP. Flop should probably be a fold as well, you have lots of better fluh draws in your range to continue with, and given that he's going to have some dominating draws in his range, there just really aren't good turn cards for you.

This is actually one of the better turns for you and I do like your plan of check-raising turn. I'd shove most rivers but not the ones that paired me. Check-call is a good river plan on this card.
