Not sure if this kind of thread is allowed, if not I apologize and please delete.
I just wanted to let TPE members know I am offering cash game coaching and have posted a thread in 2+2 about it with all the info. Why is this relevant here? A big part of my coaching revolves around midstacking, where I play cash games with 40-80bb and then build stacks. I think this is a really effective way for tournament players to transition into cash games for obvious reasons (stack depths, used to dealing with different effective stacks, changing stacks, etc). With the US market kind of blah now and maybe tournament schedules harder to fill for you grinders, cash games are a great way to make money. Check out my thread if interested, thank you!

IMHO I don't think this site is the place for cash games PERIOD. I joined to focus on tournaments. I belong to another training site that does both and like the fact that this one is for tournaments only.

This is a bit of a myopic view of things. There is a tremendous amount for tournament players to learn from cash games. i understand that this a tournament focused site, but at its core it is about learning the tools and skills for developing your tourney game to be at its best. It is no coincidence that a lot of the worlds best cash players can sit in a tourney and build giant stacks and make solid progress. There are a lot of things that go into making a successful tournament player, I would be careful in blowing off something just because you don't think it belongs without doing a little research.
Both perspectives can be respected here.
To PokerMama, the product we offer here is 100% MTTs, and will stay that way, because we believe that by choosing that as our focus we can create better content in this niche than the all-inclusive sites can. We have some pretty deep MTT theory content that you really can't find on the other sites because they need to cover everything at a broader level.
However, I don't think gobsmacked was asking us to change focus. I think he was posting an offer to coach on cash games. I don't think it infringes at all on what we do here, or changes our direction at all. It's a little bit spammy but that's a different issue.

a lot of tourney players also play cash games too. i have been playing more cash than tourneys lately because i haven't been able to commit to a long session.
I play such little cash that belonging to more than TPE doesn't make sense. I appreciate that I have a trusted resource for maybe picking up some pointers common to tournament players who dabble in cash. This column gets very little of my time but when I need it I'm glad its there.

Thanks RFB. Yes it's a bit spammy and I obv realize that and said in my OP that if the mods thought it was inappropriate to please remove it, I don't want to break any rules or step on any toes.
I think it's a bit silly to say that any little coaching I offer in a cash game thread on TPE that gets very little attention is doing anything to effect how TPE operates or that it should be banned. This site is exactly what it says it is. I think I can offer something to MTT players who are looking to play some cash since their volume is a bit lower now post Black Friday but who feel uncomfortable playing cash. I think that's a reasonable thing to offer. Certainly nothing is forced.
It also specifically relates to tourneys in that if you can play a really strong 40-80 bb cash stack, it can help you be a better tourney player, though clearly there are going to be many differences in terms of how things play out. But being good postflop at a certain stack depth is going to help you no matter what you play.
Best,
Pete
