Hi guys,
Have a question ab out the following game.
5 handed, NL200. Villain is pretty straitforward player. Played with him many hours and do not remember if ever sew him catch with a bluff on river. Have a feeling that he is 3betting a little bit too wide and is too passive postflop. Villian has $400 and I cover him
Villian straddle to 4$, one fold, I on BU with A5s $12, both blinds call, he $32 I 4bet 105, he tanks and call. Not exactly what I was wishing for…
Flop 78Tr, total mis for me. He checks (which he probably will do with 100% of his range, so no info here) I check behind.
Turn is 6, not my suit. He checks again. I believe my hand has very low chance to win unimproved and I have 4 outs to nuts, 4 outs to chop and sometime A can be out to a winning hand as well (he probably has AQ, AKo, may be JJ, QQ). If I check here I eventually gave up since my any bet on river will have fold equity. So I bet $135 into $234. I choosed sizing to feel like a value bet, but retrospectively I do not like this sizing. Shoving? He probably is not elastic in his decision – If I am wrong and he has AA, KK or TT he is calling any bet.If he has AK, AQ he probably will fold on 60% bet as well. Will he fold JJ/QQ on this bet? Probably I had to size it a little bit bigger, 190-ish? Not sure.
Do you think it was good/bad bluffing spot? Sizing? CBet on flop?
