I feel your pain….
On a brighter 'wife' friendly note.. I'd just burst into the bubble on a 45 max game when I had to respond to an urgent phone call and attend to a minor crisis So I asked my wife to play out the game. I told her to simply shove any two decent cards (“any two with pretty pictures or have an 'A' on them”) and fold the rest. I had to show her how to bet 'all in' which she promptly suggested/argued that there should be “a dedicated 'all in' button which is a different colour from the rest”, and “perhaps she should email tech support and suggest it”… at which point I had press the “I'm back” button as her jibber jabber naturally timed her out of a hand! Anyway, I left and while enroute to work received a text to say that she'd shipped the tourney…. KQo > QJs.
I was indeed proud, but not only was her play profitable but was also ++++EV as that little adrenalin boost has made her more interested in my game and even led to the suggestion that perhaps I should be playing more often!
